1. Awarded outstanding service as Education Committee Chair (2007) presented by the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals. 


2. 2006-2009 Appointed Chairman of the Education Committee for the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals.


3. 1.5.2006 Paul Pennington was appointed by the Texas Department of Regulation and Licensing to the Property Tax Consultants Advisory Board . The board makes recommendations to the Commission standards of practice, conduct, and ethics for registrants to be adopted; setting fees; contents for the senior property tax consultant registration examination and standards of acceptable performance; and assist and advise the Commission in recognizing continuing education programs and educational courses for registrants, and in establishing educational requirements for initial applicants. The Council is composed of six members, appointed by the presiding officer of the commission, with the Commission's approval.

11. Paul Pennington has been reappointed by the Texas Department of Regulation and Licensing to the Property Tax Consultants Advisory Board for a three year term ending February 1, 2011.
12. Paul Pennington was elected to the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals Board of Directors-October 2009.
13. In September 2011, Paul Pennington became the Secretary/Treasurer for the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals.
